| Installation - Please note that all grab bars require
in-wall backing. Wall conditions must be evaluated for the appropriate
fastening method to be used. In-wall backing must be built in during
construction of the walls. Three #10-2" stainless steel screws are
provided for each mounting, however, selection of the appropriate
fasteners is the responsibility of the installer. Some suggested wall
backings are Illustrated. |

| Backing - Backing suggestions include a 3/4" plywood
panel, a 2"X4" stud , and a 1/8" thick steel strip. In all cases the
backing material is recessed flush to the face of the studding prior
to completion of the wall (see illustrations). In the case of the
steel strip, pilot holes must be drilled and self tapping stainless
steel screws used when installing the grab bars. |
